Steph Thompson is a writer and Park Slope Housewife guided by a mission to connect people and build community through the arts.

In cafes, on street corners, or at the parties she loves to throw in her home to support artists, Ms. Thompson can always be found chatting and listening to people's fascinating stories, sometimes rewarding them with gold stars or tiny swords (to fight their tiny battles).

Her creation of InspireCorps in 2013 grew out of a desire to put great artists to work inspiring children and adults alike to find joy, learn to focus and find opportunities for collaborative play. She writes a bi-weekly parenting column in The Brooklyn Paper, plays piano, and has been working on writing a book for a decade.

She lives with her two sons, her husband, her dog Ginger and her cat Shadow.
